Scottish Open 2009

The Scottish Open

Dates: 10th & 11th January 2009

Venue: Meadowbank Sports Centre, London Road, Edinburgh EH7 6AE Tel: 0131 661 5351.

Competition Entry Information:

Competition Licence: competitors must have a valid national fencing licence. Scottish Fencing membership will be available on the day.

Parking and Access: a car park with at least 150 spaces is available at the sports centre, free of parking charges.

Refreshments: the sports centre cafe will be open on both days.

Equipment regulations: In keeping with British fencing regulations, a minimum of 350 Newton jacket, breeches and mask and 800 Newton underplastron are required. Anyone whose personal equipment fails to comply will not be permitted to fence.

Entry Fee: £17 for one event or £21 for two.

Competitors may enter foil and epee or foil and sabre but not epee and sabre.

Late entries: no extra fee but acceptance will be at the organisers’ discretion.
